Fashion Inspiration : Atonement

I'm a sucker for European fashion. I was watching Atonement yesterday in the office via Diva Universal Channel. The film was shown last 2007 but it was only yesterday that I've seen it. It made me stopped browsing channels when I saw Cecilia (Keira Knightley) and Robbie's (James McAvoy) fountain scene and Joe Wright's unorthodox direction. I love how Ian McEwan made the twists to this British romance novel.

Costume Designer, Jacqueline Durran's epic emerald green gown made the signature for this film which made me recall Natalie Portman's The Other Boleyn Girl. But what made me really love European fashion is their love for hats and dresses. I'm barely amazed by how a simple flowy dress or a hat paired with oxfords can soften a woman's strong features.

So, where do you get inspirations for your outfits and who inspires you each day? :)

It was the 9th day since my uncle died. He was in a coma for almost 2 years. My family and I visited the cemetery to offer him a prayer. I don't really understand why they celebrate it, but all I know is that it's a tradition from the great great ancestors and we are obliged to do so. This also serves as a "mini-reunion" for the family. That day I was with my cousin, Row, a ballerina and a multi-media arts student.

We had our sumptuous dinner at Serye in Santana Grove and a little frappe after.

Nostalgica Sabato

My boyfie and I were feeling nostalgic last Saturday. We had a little date in the city where I used to live. It's been a while since we last visited Mall of Asia in the south for a date. We gobble over the all-you-can-eat buffet at Chef D' Angelo for lunch. A lot has changed and new stores came in town. I was living in the south for years before we finally moved to the east. I became a little nostalgic of the stores and restaurants we used to visit. I felt really dizzy going home because of the sudden change of temperature. It's really really hot in the south with all the noise and air pollution compared to the quiet and serene village where I'm living now.

Hair Talk : How To Make a Hair Bow

I mentioned from my last post about ToHo Restaurant that I'm in love with polka dots and BOWS.

I'm a crazzzzy Pinterest addict. Pinterest is a virtual board where you gather your cool and interesting finds on the internet, and pin them to your personal pin boards. I can spend the whole day by just browsing Pinterest!

And I found hair style tutorials on how to make a Hair Bow. Hooray! ;)

Enjoy my pins!

Chinese Weekend : ToHo Restaurant

Free Soup
ToHo Fried Rice
(Good for 4 persons)
Pancit Canton
Spicy Squid

Isn't it too obvious that I love bows and polka dots that much? :D I love wearing bows and polka dots just as well as making them too! I'm also starting to fall in love with hats. I recently bought a hat from Japan Home Center and I added a bow tie to add a little something, cute? ^_^

After the hard pour monsoon rain last week, the sun has finally shown up last weekend. We were in the south and dropped by at ToHo Restaurant Antigua.  We really had a sulit sumptuous lunch (burp) :D The spicy squid and the ToHo Fried Rice was really really a blockbuster! It'll be great to bring your family here for a quiet lunch over the weekend. Then you can also try their ToHo Chicken, it's like Savory or Max's Chicken with a twist! ;) I've tried it before and it was hmmmmm good! Better try it! Anyway, there was a tank filled with Lapu-lapu fishes in the entrance. Personally, I hate seeing live fishes in the aquarium while eating some of their "family" members. I know I sound crazy, but sometimes I also pity those animals that we eat. Okay now I'm too melodramatic.

Here's ToHo Restaurant's Menu:
16 President Avenue Teofel Subdivision BF Homes, Metro Manila10:00am - 10:00pm(02) 820-0668 to 69

P.S.  for "melodramatic" people like me : The fishes in the aquarium are not always there. Sometimes they're already in the kitchen... Or sometimes on your belly. Now I'm kidding! haha
